Nature’s Rx: Chocolate is loaded with so many skin-friendly phytonutrients and antioxidants like vitamin E and copper that it is considered by many as a health food. Cocoa butter (its scientific name, Theobroma, means “food of the gods”) is a byproduct of making chocolate and when used in soap, puts down a protective layer that holds moisture to the skin, acting as a natural humectant.
