I had my first taste of fresh goat's milk in Greece the summer of 1982. I watched in amazement while the local goat herder started milking his goats, as their kids looked on. He was amused by the look on my face and offered me a taste of the warm, fresh milk, from what looked like a century old, metal container. Feeling a pressure not to be branded as an Americanikee, my ego took over and I bravely took my first sip, paused, then continued to finish it all. He slapped my back and shouted "Bravo Camari Mou!", as I proudly smiled, milk-mustach and all. My initiation had been completed and from that day on, I was considered, as an Americanikee would put it, "one of the gang."
This incredible, yet inedible soap, was created using a classic blend of creamy goat's milk, aromatic almonds and thyme honey; the most delectable, comfort food fragrance of all time. Its skin rejuvenating properties embrace the perfect healing balance of nature's own bounties that have remained unchanged since ancient Greek times.
NOTE: I have to confess, fresh, warm, goat's milk is an acquired taste, which I have yet to acquire.
