At the crack of dawn, the local rooster announces the beginning of a new day. The ringing bell from the nearby church, Panayea, summons her devotees to early morning service. I quickly and quietly arise to sneak out for a stroll down to the paralia, betrayed only by the squeaky sound of the rusted veranda gate. I leave the main road, accompanied by a few local katseekees, preferring to take the scenic route off the beaten path. The panoramic view of this timeless landscape is perfectly framed by the white capped, deep blue thalasa. In contrast, the terraced hillsides are covered with groves of ancient olive thendra, which for centuries have obediently stood in rows at attention. The gentle Mediterranean breeze is seasoned with the woodsy scent of aromatic pefka and perfumed with an infusion of wild mountain herbs. As I get closer to my destination, I feel the warm heliotherapia of the sun beating down on my face. At that moment I close my eyes in prayer, feeling such gratitude at having felt a piece of heaven on earth.

NOTE: This GLYCERIN BASED soap is enriched with olive butter and olive squalane, revered for their emoilient rich skin rejuvenating qualities.Olive oil extract was revered  by the ancient Greeks as "Liquid Gold' and "Nectar of the Gods" for its life-enhancing properties that influenced and sustained their ancient civilization. The delicate essential oil and wood resin scent combination developed to create this incredible scent, would not hold up in C.P.. I felt the aromatheuric value out weighed the dermatheuric value of my Cold-Process soap. This is the first time I’ve truly believed a scent was too heavenly to lose!
